Puerto Rico Liberation Tour August 2-14, 2013

UNSIF invites 3 students from each campus (Atlanta, Detroit, San Antonio and San Juan) to the Puerto Rico Liberation Tour . All costs except the air fare will be paid in full by UNSIF and Project ReGeneration. The air fares will be paid by the local anchor organizations, will be fund raised by students of each campus, or paid in full by the participating students.

Students will get a briefing in ATL and will learn on the tour of the struggle of the People of PR and how it relates to the US. Students will experience ‘colonialism’ is real time and visit local sites to learn of the culture, struggles, peoples and agro-ecology. Upon returning to Atlanta, tour participants will write up a collective synthesis of the experience. Students will write up a one page reflection paper on each site visited. Read more
